Alex is a Machine Learning Engineer at Understory focusing on model development and 3rd party integration. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Lancaster University with a focus on machine learning driven deep maps that combine complex socio-cultural and environmental data sets into a cohesive format to inform interdisciplinary decision making. In addition, he has designed and developed large scale mapping applications in Java and HTML/Javascript for emergency management, health care and geospatial data gathering. Alex is based in Denver, Co and is an avid history buff.
